Ashes Brings Rural Romance To Berlin Fashion Week

Fashion label Milk of Lime returned to Berlin Fashion Week with its fourth collection, Ashes — a Spring/Summer 2027 outing built around that delicious contradiction of endings, remnants, and something new fighting its way out of the smoke.
The German-Belgian duo plays with the idea of destruction meeting hope, pulling the phoenix myth into a runway language that feels both rural and metropolitan, harsh and romantic, lived-in and oddly tender. Thee drama is not screaming here. It is smoldering, which honestly can be more dangerous.
Across the collection, draped menswear, reworked knit textures, crinkled surfaces, graphic cotton tops, coats, wool trousers, and sheer silk fabrics shape a world that looks beautifully worn, pieced together, and still very much alive.
