Zara Pulls Its ’90s Menswear Back Into the Present

Model Max Knott enters Zara’s 1990s archival action — with Vasko Luyckx right there beside him — as the brand digs back into its own menswear history for a limited-edition 90’s Archive collection.
The fall 2026 edit does not treat the decade like costume. Instead, Zara pulls out the pieces that quietly built the era’s grown-up wardrobe: broad-shouldered blazers, leather jackets, straight jeans, white tees and fine knits, then cleans them up for right now.

The ’90s archive gets another turn.

Photographed by Daniel Archer, the imagery leans into the same adult minimalism the clothes are channeling. Max moves through waistcoats, leather tailoring, V-neck knits and straight denim, while Vasko works the broader jackets, suede-look outerwear and double-denim side of the archive.
What makes this round work is that Zara is not simply borrowing generic ’90s nostalgia. It is mining its own back catalogue. That matters. The brand has revisited its 90’s Archive idea before, but this edition feels especially tuned to the way menswear has circled back toward wider shoulders, cleaner jeans and quieter layering.
The proportions are doing most of the talking: roomy jackets over slim V-necks, straight-leg jeans instead of exaggerated puddling, and leather outerwear that feels polished rather than biker-coded. It is the kind of styling that remembers the decade without getting trapped inside it.
And that is where this one should end visually — in the clothes. Max Knott and Vasko Luyckx take the archive from waistcoats and leather blazers to suede, denim and the small accessories that finish the whole rewind.
