Next summer, Angelina Jolie will star in Maleficent, Disney’s live-action remake of Sleeping Beauty — and MAC Cosmetics will have a new line of makeup to go with it.
The limited-edition collection will include 11 products for the face, eyes, lips and nails, as first reported by WWD. We haven’t yet seen any photographs from the collection, but if the movie poster is anything to go by, we’re expecting a lot of dark and dramatic hues and a bold red lipstick or two.
This isn’t the first time MAC has created a capsule collection for a Disney character, or even one inspired by Maleficent. In fall 2010, the company released a “Venomous Villain collection” inspired by four: Cruella de Vil, Snow White‘s Evil Queen, The Princess and the Frog‘s Dr. Falicier as well as Sleeping Beauty‘s Maleficent. Given that MAC is already doing a second for the character, we assume the first collection did pretty well for the company.
A spokesperson for MAC Cosmetics could not confirm a release date for the collection. -via fashionista
