Lee Cronin’s Creepy New Remake ‘The Mummy’ First Full Trailer

Lee Cronin resurrects The Mummy with a chilling new twist as a missing child returns eight years later — bringing terror home with her.

“For dust you are.” With that chilling line, filmmaker Lee Cronin cracks open the sarcophagus on his enigmatic, enthralling new take on The Mummy, slithering into theaters April 17.

This isn’t your grandfather’s desert curse. The franchise is officially retelling the classic horror tale with a contemporary psychological twist, trading treasure‑hunters and pulp adventure for something far more intimate — and far more terrifying.

The official compendium centers on the young daughter of a journalist who vanishes into the desert without a note, a clue, or even a breath of existence. Eight years later, the broken family is stunned when she returns — but what should be a joyful reunion quickly mutates into a living nightmare.

The film stars a powerhouse ensemble of artisans: Jack Reynor, Laia Costa, May Calamawy, Natalie Grace, and Veronica Falcón.

Cronin himself has teased just how dark this resurrection will be, saying: “This will be unlike any Mummy movie you ever laid eyeballs on before. I’m digging deep into the earth to raise something very ancient and very frightening.”

It’s a bold promise — and exactly the kind of audacious energy horror fans crave.

Dig out the eerie, dust‑coated thrills below.

Drop your thoughts below. Is this the boldest Mummy resurrection yet?
