Junya Watanabe MAN hit Paris Fashion Week with its Spring/Summer 2027 collection, and the mood was exactly what the title promised: “BLING BLING BLING” without the empty flash.

Watanabe has always understood the art of collision. This season, he sent out a wardrobe built on American street energy, relaxed sportswear, sharp shirting, heavy collaboration culture, and just enough jewelry-charged attitude to make familiar pieces feel freshly dangerous.

The collection’s sportswear base came through loud and clear: tracksuits developed with Kappa, zip-up jackets tied to HIDDEN and longtime Watanabe collaborator Carhartt, and a cast that looked less runway-polished than street-ready, fully awake, and already late to somewhere better.

Then came the smarter bite. Shirts produced with Luigi Borrelli, Guy Rover, and Maria Santangelo gave the collection a tailored edge, while hybrid constructions kept blurring the line between proper menswear and throw-it-on street uniform. That tension is where Watanabe still eats.

Footwear and accessories made the point even sharper. New Balance brought leather and canvas trainer energy, Heinrich Dinkelacker and Tricker’s pulled the collection toward tradition, while INNERRAUM bags and Kota Okuda’s illustrated caps pushed the whole thing into character mode.

With Needles, Levi’s, Union LA, DHL, Flake, and ’47 also in the mix, this could have collapsed into a brand-name pileup. Instead, Junya Watanabe MAN Spring/Summer 2027 stayed locked on one idea: collaboration only works when the designer still controls the rhythm.
