Supermodel Edzard B Lets Softness Take Control In “Dudes”

Supermodel Edzard B strips masculinity of its usual performance in “Dudes,” a softer, stranger menswear editorial photographed by Helena Asole.

Softness Takes Control Once The Performance Falls Away

It’s supermodel Edzard B, and the room has officially gone quiet. Represented by Metamorfosi Studio, Edzard fronts the new MMSCENE STYLE STORIES exclusive “Dudes,” photographed and art-directed by Helena Asole with an eye trained on masculinity after the performance drops away.

The story does not chase the usual hard pose, clenched jaw or overly polished idea of menswear strength. Instead, Edzard moves through softness, exposure and fluidity as if none of it requires an explanation. The camera watches rather than interrupts, allowing every slouch, stare and slightly undone layer to land on its own.

Soft Tailoring, Sharp Intentions

Edzard’s “Dudes” wardrobe loosens the rules without losing the point. Follow the model’s official page, then bring the editorial’s relaxed tailoring and statement accessories into your own rotation.

Giorgia Calia styles the session with pieces from Alchetipo, Lutchmiah, Random Identities by Stefano Pilati, Marsèll, Domenico Orefice, Ascend Beyond, John Richmond and Manuel Ritz. Sweaters slip low, tailoring opens up, ties become less corporate and more instinctive, and bags, shoes and headwear keep each look from becoming too precious.

Hair and makeup artist Andrea Palazzo keeps the beauty direction equally unforced. Edzard remains recognizably himself throughout—sometimes polished, sometimes exposed, sometimes looking like he has wandered into the frame before the clothes were finished deciding what they wanted to be.

The sharper tailoring never turns into armor. Jackets sit open, shirts loosen and the body remains part of the styling rather than something the clothes are meant to conceal. That balance gives “Dudes” its pull: masculinity is present in every frame, but it is never asked to stand still long enough to become a costume.

Shot at Ippogrifo Studio with photographer’s assistant Damiano Lilliu, the editorial feels observational even when the wardrobe gets theatrical. A sculptural hat, loosened tie, oversized knit or unexpected kettlebell can enter the image without turning Edzard into a prop. He remains thee reason the frame works.

“Dudes” does not weaken masculinity by making room for softness. It makes the whole thing more interesting—and with supermodel Edzard B holding the center, nobody was looking away anyway.
