The Young Sheldon star addresses fan speculation as the hit spinoff “Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage” continues its breakout success.
If you miss the 2010s / early 2020s sitcom era of Young Sheldon, there’s a spectacular new fix: the hit spinoff Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, starring Montana Jordan and Emily Osment in the titular roles.
Now Iain Armitage, forever beloved as young Sheldon Cooper, is addressing the ongoing fan speculation about whether he’ll pop into the spinoff for a cameo.
As the series becomes a ginormous hit, Iain spoke with Us Weekly and made it clear: there are zero plans for him to appear on Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage — at least for now.
But he’s not shutting the door. In fact, he’s wide open to joining future seasons.
In the freshly delivered interview, Iain said:
“Honestly, it would be so fun to be on that show. I’m a huge fan of the show and of Montana Jordan and Emily Osment. They are so talented. Everybody that’s currently on that show is so great.”
He continued:
“I watch the show all the time and my whole family loves it. They’re all doing such a great job as a cast and as a show.”
A sweet, supportive nod from the kid genius himself.
