Flavor Flav Checked the Clock and Decided It Was Time to Believe

In one sweet, awe-huh kind of red-carpet moment, living and walking genuine icon Flavor Flav presented Jason Sudeikis with a custom clock necklace at the Ted Lasso Season 4 premiere.

The hip-hop legend arrived at the BAM Harvey Theater in Brooklyn on August 4 with a gift perfectly calibrated for the occasion: one of his signature oversized clocks rebuilt around the show’s yellow “BELIEVE” motif and finished with a coach’s whistle.

Sudeikis looked genuinely delighted. Flav looked like the only man qualified to transform Ted Lasso optimism into wearable timekeeping. The carpet understood its assignment.

The Custom Clock Came With Its Own Coaching Equipment

This was not a random clock pulled from the Flavor Flav reserves. The custom piece placed “BELIEVE” across its face in the same handmade style associated with the sign hanging over Ted’s locker-room doorway.

The miniature yellow whistle hanging beneath it completed the crossover: part hip-hop iconography, part coaching accessory and entirely too specific to have been anything but made for Sudeikis.

Some premiere guests bring congratulations. Flavor Flav brings a fully themed artifact.

Just Jared reported that Flav has only handed out a small number of his custom clocks, with previous recipients including Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish and hockey star Hilary Knight. Jason joining that little club makes the gesture even more special.

Flavor Flav and Jason Sudeikis Were Already Clocked In as Friends

The moment landed as more than a celebrity carpet introduction because Flav and Sudeikis already have history. In 2023, Flav joined writers on the picket line during the WGA strike and publicly supported Sudeikis and the other striking creatives.

A year later, Flav appeared at Thundergong!, Sudeikis’ Kansas City charity concert benefiting Steps of Faith. The two performed Public Enemy’s “Bring the Noise” together, proving Jason could briefly step into Flav’s musical world before Flav returned the favor by stepping into his.

That makes the clock feel less like a publicity prop and more like a very Flavor Flav friendship token: loud, thoughtful, immediately recognizable and impossible to lose inside a gift bag.

Ted Lasso Season 4 Gives “BELIEVE” a New Team

The Brooklyn premiere arrived one night before Ted Lasso Season 4 began streaming on Apple TV. The new chapter sends Ted back to Richmond for his biggest coaching challenge yet: leading a second-division women’s football team.

Jason Sudeikis returns alongside familiar faces including Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt and Jeremy Swift, while the team itself opens the door to a new group of players and stories.

The 10-episode season launched on August 5, 2026, with new episodes scheduled every Wednesday through October 7.

Ted Lasso has always asked viewers to believe. Flavor Flav simply made sure Jason Sudeikis could check the time while doing it.
