Across 36 images, Mommsen carries the collection with the kind of cool restraint Saint Laurent demands. The clothes do the strutting—razor-sharp tailoring, lean proportions, dramatic outerwear and the dark, after-hours polish that keeps Vaccarello’s menswear planted somewhere between a Paris salon and a club at 2 a.m.

The presentation is deliberately direct. A single model, a controlled backdrop and look after look allowed to register without unnecessary scenery. Mommsen gives each silhouette its own posture while maintaining one continuous character: distant, elegant and completely unbothered.

Vaccarello’s approach works through repetition and variation. A narrow jacket becomes a longer coat; a hard black line gives way to velvet, shine or a flash of print; eveningwear slips into the same frame as pieces built for the street. The styling never begs for attention because the Saint Laurent codes already know exactly who they are.

Mommsen is the right casting for that discipline. His long frame and composed expression keep the lookbook cohesive while letting the changing textures, lengths and layers create the movement. Nothing is overperformed. The attitude remains sharp enough to cut through every frame.
