EGONLAB SS27 Turns Ataraxia Into A Glittering Paris Menswear Fever Dream

EGONLAB’s Spring/Summer 2027 collection “Ataraxia” lands in Paris with a surreal mix of experimental denim, Swarovski embellishment, coquette tension, trompe-l’œil details, and cinematic menswear drama.

Ataraxia Finds A Beautifully Strange Pulse In Paris

EGONLAB stepped into Paris Fashion Week with its Spring/Summer 2027 collection, Ataraxia, and the title alone tells you where the house is headed: calm, but not quiet; soft, but not shy.

Creative directors Florentin Glémarec and Kévin Nompeix framed the season around the search for peace inside chaos, then twisted that idea through liminal spaces, digital-age unease, masculine coquette codes, and EGONLAB’s love of tailoring that knows exactly when to misbehave.

Into the Ataraxia mood? Think soft tailoring, crystal-kissed silk, coquette bows, and practical Eastpak energy for a world trying to stay calm.

The collection takes the brand’s sharp Parisian vocabulary and lets it blur at the edges. Trompe-l’œil details play with the eye, shirts hint at hidden ties, collars shift into new forms, and tailoring is lightened so the structure is still there without feeling locked in place.

There is also a sweeter flash running through the lineup: silk shirts embellished with Swarovski crystals, satin headwear tied with oversized bows, and a “coquette core” read that lands less costume and more sly provocation. EGONLAB knows softness can still have teeth.

Then come the harder textures: experimental denim, surreal frame necklaces, wavy sailor stripes, and wave-like embossed pleating that nods to René Magritte’s The Lovers. The season feels like a conversation between romance and resistance, with a little backstage smoke still clinging to the clothes.

And because every polished fever dream needs something you can actually carry, the season also brings in a collaboration with Eastpak, reworking functional accessories through EGONLAB’s gender-fluid, conceptual lens. It is utility with a wink, not a shrug.

For a brand already shortlisted for the ANDAM Grand Prize, Ataraxia feels like another sign that EGONLAB is pushing beyond cool-kid tailoring into something more layered, emotionally alert, and ready for the uncertainty outside the show space.
