If you’re not watching Running Point on Netflix yet… what are you doing. The basketball‑comedy starring Kate Hudson, Brenda Song, Drew Tarver, and Scott MacArthur is already a fan‑favorite — and now the cast is back in a chaotic, adorable, and wildly competitive segment called “Shoot Your Shot.”

The premise is simple: pull a question, take a shot, and hope your castmates don’t roast you. Spoiler: they absolutely do.

The video opens with the cast hyping each other up — “Come on, Kate!” — before Drew immediately misses his first attempt, triggering a chorus of buzzer sounds and laughter. Brenda, who apparently has the most basketball knowledge on set, admits the show hasn’t changed her perspective on the sport… it’s made her want to run a team. Kate and Scott fully support this.

Netflix Cast Edit

Running Point keeps the team chemistry loose, funny, and courtside

Kate Hudson and the crew bring the Netflix basketball comedy off the court and into full cast-catch-up mode — family chaos, front-office tension, and sitcom warmth included.

There’s also the birth of a new nickname: Dr. Brew (aimed at Drew), which no one can explain but everyone immediately commits to. The cast then plays a round of “start, bench, trade,” where Kate benches Brenda and trades Scott — but only because “he’d find his way back,” which the entire cast agrees is true.

One of the funniest moments comes when Brenda recalls meeting Scott and telling him it was “an honor to work with him,” which Scott assumed was a lie — until she reveals she’s a massive Righteous Gemstones fan. Their dynamic is pure serotonin.

Drew also shares that the toughest critic in his family — Kurt — is “obsessed” with the show and especially loves seeing Brenda run a sports team on screen.

The basketball skills? Let’s just say the cast proves exactly why they’re actors and not athletes. After a streak of misses, Kate finally sinks a shot and screams, “Finally!” like she just won the NBA Finals.

Scott closes the game with the most unhinged answer of the day: wondering if he “made a baby in Filipino prison” because there are a few nights he doesn’t remember. The cast loses it.

The segment ends with a plug for Running Point Season 2, reminding everyone that the chaos continues only on Netflix.

A perfect cast. A perfect bit. A perfect show to binge.
