New Orleans’ bounce queen Big Freddia is bringing current and throwback hip-hop vibes intertwined impeccably with her now iconic genre of sound called bounce music. Last month, Drake dropped the bounce-inspired single “Nice for What,” which prominently samples Freedia’s voice. And let’s not forget her earth-shattering feature on Beyonce’s “Formation.”

Big Freedia has announced a new EP, according to our sources over at Rollingstone. Entitled “3rd Ward Bounce”, it’s due out June 1 via Asylum. Although her first single “Rent,” wasn’t our cup of tea, the new single “Karaoke” featuring artist Lizzo, is a solid dance floor ready number that meshes both similar artists’ alternative hip hop vibes coherently and impeccably.
