The Norwegian art-pop wonder unveiled the teaser through her channels alongside one very specific instruction for fans: sign up to AURORA’s mailing list before 11:30 a.m. BST on September 2.
Exactly what lands when the countdown hits zero is the intriguing part. AURORA’s official channels are teasing the next reveal, but the currently accessible announcement material does not spell out the full surprise just yet.

What Happened to the Heart? Already Has a Bigger Second Life
There is one important bit of context before everybody starts yelling “deluxe!” at the countdown: What Happened to the Heart? has already expanded beyond its original 2024 release.
An official digital deluxe edition is already listed through AURORA’s music channels, while her official store released What Happened to the Heart? Pt. 2 Deluxe on July 31, 2026.
That companion edition added five previously unreleased tracks: “The Flood,” “Hearts Intuition,” “The Weight Of Missing,” “Dreams” featuring Nicole Zignago and “Some Type Of Skin” featuring ATARASHII GAKKO!
And Yes, “5, 4, 3, 2, 1” Has History in AURORA Land
Longtime Warriors and Weirdos will immediately clock another reason this countdown is fun: “Murder Song (5, 4, 3, 2, 1)” has been sitting inside the AURORA songbook for more than a decade.
The track first arrived in 2015 and later appeared on her 2016 debut album, All My Demons Greeting Me as a Friend. With that album celebrating its tenth anniversary in 2026, the countdown naturally opens the door to more than one theory.
Is it connected? Is it simply AURORA being AURORA and making five numbers feel like the beginning of a tiny woodland prophecy? We are not upgrading a tease into an announcement until she does.
