Yung Lean is a Swedish rapper and singer whose hazy internet-born style helped define cloud rap and the emotional language of 2010s online hip-hop. Born Jonatan Håstad in Stockholm, he broke through as a teenager with “Ginseng Strip 2002” and the mixtape Unknown Death 2002 before albums including Unknown Memory, Warlord, Stranger, Starz and Jonatan developed a more introspective and experimental sound. Alongside the Sad Boys collective and his Jonatan Leandoer96 work, Lean has become a lasting influence on global alternative rap while continuing to release new music in 2026.
