TLC

TLC is an Atlanta-formed American vocal group whose blend of R&B, hip-hop, pop, and new jack swing helped define mainstream music in the 1990s. The best-known lineup—Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas—rose to prominence with the albums *Ooooooohhh... On the TLC Tip* (1992), *CrazySexyCool* (1994), and *FanMail* (1999). Their catalog includes enduring singles such as “Waterfalls,” “Creep,” “No Scrubs,” and “Unpretty,” pairing crossover hooks with songs about relationships, self-image, and social issues. Following Lopes’s death in 2002, Watkins and Thomas continued performing as TLC and released the self-titled album *TLC* in 2017. The group remains active in live performance and catalog projects.
