Born in Mexico City, she performed with the group Timbiriche before launching a solo career in 1990. Albums including En Éxtasis, Amor a la Mexicana and Arrasando helped establish her mix of Latin pop, dance music and romantic balladry, while decades of new recordings and collaborations have kept her connected to changing generations of listeners.
