Snow Patrol

Snow Patrol are a Northern Irish-Scottish alternative rock band formed in Dundee in 1994. After establishing themselves with the early albums Songs for Polar Bears (1998) and When It’s All Over We Still Have to Clear Up (2001), they reached a wider audience with Final Straw (2003), whose singles included “Run” and “Chocolate.” Eyes Open (2006) expanded that success internationally, driven by “Chasing Cars,” and was followed by A Hundred Million Suns, Fallen Empires, Wildness, and The Forest Is the Path (2024). Their catalog balances open-hearted songwriting with expansive guitar-led arrangements, while later releases have continued to develop that sound. Snow Patrol remain active, with current releases including “These Alarms,” a collaboration with Kylie Minogue.
