Lizzo is an American singer, rapper, songwriter and flautist whose music combines pop, hip-hop, soul and funk with a commanding live presence. Born in Detroit and raised in Houston, she developed her career in Minneapolis before breaking into the mainstream with “Truth Hurts,” “Good as Hell” and the album Cuz I Love You. The Grammy-winning “About Damn Time” extended that success, and after Special she returned with a new run of releases leading into the 2026 album BITCH. Her flute playing, rap delivery and powerhouse singing remain equally central to her musical identity.
