Architecture in Helsinki were an Australian indie-pop band formed in Melbourne around Cameron Bird and a rotating cast of multi-instrumentalists. Beginning in 2000, the group became known for playful arrangements that mixed guitars and electronics with brass, woodwinds, hand percussion and bright vocal harmonies. Albums including Fingers Crossed, In Case We Die, Places Like This, Moment Bends and NOW + 4EVA traced a path from eccentric indie pop toward synth-pop and disco before the group became inactive in the late 2010s.
Architecture in Helsinki deliver an indie Hi‑NRG spin on Jackie DeShannon’s classic, boosted by a student‑film visual, 1984 Ramming Speed lineage, and a fresh spot on INYIM Radio.
