The show will broadcast live coast-to-coast from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Sunday, May 15, at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT on NBC, and will stream live on Peacock. Thee show will honor the year’s top artists on the Billboard charts in 62 categories.
A total of 16 artists will perform on the show. Mary J. Blige will receive the Billboard Icon Award, and will also perform on the show. Maxwell will perform the Rod Temperton ballad “The Lady of My Life,” which was the closing track on Michael Jackson’s Thriller. The performance is intended as a 40th anniversary tribute to that landmark album, which was released on Nov. 30, 1982.
