Get your whimsy wands out, gals and gents. The Magic Faraway Tree is bringing Enid Blyton’s fantastical classic back to the big screen, this time with Andrew Garfield and Claire Foy stepping into full family-adventure mode.
The new film follows Polly, Tim and their three children as they begin a new life in the remote countryside. Then, because childhood adventure has to enter dramatically through a hidden doorway somewhere, the kids discover a magical tree near their new home and are swept into extraordinary lands beyond their wildest imagination.
Distributed by Vertical, The Magic Faraway Tree is set for U.S. theaters on August 21, 2026. The film is directed by Ben Gregor, with a screenplay by Simon Farnaby.
