Wednesday actor Hunter Doohan is the star cover boy in “Scream King” mode for Out magazine’s July/August 2026 issue, photographed by Dennis Leupold.

And this isn’t some random actor-does-fashion detour. Doohan’s cover lands right as his horror résumé gets bloodier: from Tyler Galpin — a.k.a. the Hyde — on Wednesday, to Muse on Daredevil: Born Again, and now Joseph in Evil Dead Burn. “Scream King” is less a costume here than a pretty accurate job description.

In the accompanying interview, Doohan talks about joining the Evil Dead universe, the practical-effects carnage that comes with it, and why horror has such a strong crossover with gay audiences. He also gets into playing straight characters as an openly gay actor, his admiration for Jonathan Bailey and Colman Domingo, and the career-changing experience of working with Bryan Cranston on Your Honor.

The fashion side is just as sharp. Styled by Jordan Dorso, the shoot moves through labels including AMI, The Frankie Shop, Tommy Hilfiger, Nahmias, Calvin Klein and Fendi, with grooming by Rob Scheppy. It gives the whole spread exactly the polished-but-dangerous edge a “Scream King” story deserves.

Doohan also talks about his husband, film producer Fielder Jewett, his return for Wednesday season three, and why he has zero patience for AI replacing human-made art. Horror, fashion, career, love and a little blood spray — scope out the full editorial below.
