Singer-songwriter known as MUNYA is serving us with some of that easy breezy cool calm collective dancey-dancey ditty entitled “Hotel Delmano.” Born as Québécois musician Josie Boivin, started churning out musique in a chance booking at the music festival “Pop Montreal.” Her stellar new single is that kinda sway-sway, side to side single that can also get you up on your dancing happy feet. Munya’s project will consist of 3 EPs, all revolved based on different locations of areas that are vital to Munya. We get her first choice, North Hatley, a village in Québec. Now currently her next record is entitled the shining glittery “Delmano.” Named after the Hotel Delmano, a decadent go-go juice bar in Williamsburg.
Boivin has recently shared in a statement: “I’ve come to a point where I try not to judge myself and just allow my ideas come to life through my music. There is a French band named Vendredi sur Mer and I just fell in love with their music video of ‘La Femme à la Peau Bleue.’ I watched it so many times that she entered my dreams, once we were having a drink at Hotel Delmano. The song is about that dream.”
