The collision happened on October 2, 2026, while Flores was reporting live for Gamavisión Noticias from Avenida Morones Prieto in Monterrey. The crew was covering dangerous road conditions after heavy rain when a dark Jeep-type vehicle lost control and slid toward them.
The impact knocks both Flores and Morales down as the camera tumbles and the broadcast abruptly returns to the studio. Emergency crews responded at the scene and both journalists were taken for medical treatment.
Thankfully, the outcome was far better than the footage initially suggests. Flores later reassured viewers that she and Morales were receiving medical care, while reports from Mexico said both were stable and out of danger. Initial reports described their injuries as non-life-threatening, and Flores summed up the pair’s survival rather perfectly: “Estamos vivos de milagro” — “We’re alive by a miracle.”
The driver remained at the scene as authorities investigated the crash. The wet roadway was cited in early reports as a factor in the vehicle losing control.
So yes, the clip is every bit as horrifying as it looks. But this one comes with the update you desperately want after watching it: Alma de la Rosa Flores and Cristo Morales survived.
