A Spoonful of Whimsy With Elle Fanning
One Elle Fanning impression, one famous sister and just enough sibling mischief for the day.

It is exactly the kind of quick, playful sibling material that fits A Spoonful of Whimsy: nothing overworked, just Elle having a little fun with a very recognizable family dynamic.
That dynamic has become an increasingly public part of the Fannings’ next chapter. Elle and Dakota have spent most of their careers working separately, but in recent years they have moved closer together professionally through Lewellen Pictures, the production company they launched in 2021.
The sisters have also talked openly about how close they are off-camera. In a 2026 interview with ELLE, Dakota said the pair were raised to share everything and described going into business together as a natural extension of that relationship. Elle, meanwhile, said the honesty that comes with being family is part of how they work together.
That makes this little Dakota impression land even better. It is not just Elle doing a celebrity voice for a laugh — it is one sister affectionately clocking the other after a lifetime of knowing every cadence, habit and family shorthand.
And the timing is especially fun: the two are also preparing to finally share the screen in The Nightingale, after years of building separate acting careers. They have played the same character at different ages before, but the upcoming film marks their first time appearing together in the same project as adult co-stars.
