One clip found Charli xcx and Julia Garner dancing on a bed with Madonna; another shifted into the bathroom, where Carpenter joined her for the shower-curtain antics.

Madonna and Carpenter’s pairing has quietly become one of 2026’s most entertaining pop cross-generational linkups. It began on a much bigger scale in April when Madonna surprised Carpenter during her Coachella Weekend 2 headline set. Their appearance introduced “Bring Your Love”, which arrived commercially later that month and became part of Madonna’s Confessions II era.
By the September 27 VMAs, the collaboration had gone full-circle. Madonna opened the ceremony in Los Angeles for her first VMA performance in 23 years, with Carpenter joining her for “Bring Your Love.” Later that night, the pair won Best Collaboration for the track.
