Tuesday Mo-ti-va-tion: One second of flight. No room for doubt.

tUESDAY Mo-ti-va-tion: 4.1 meters. 1,050 below. 💨 One second of flight. He’s done it before. He’ll do it again. But who’s counting…

Well, apparently someone was. The original video post from @the.global.cure describes the jump as spanning 4.1 meters with a drop of “1,050 below,” all packed into roughly one second in the air. We can’t independently verify those measurements from the footage alone, but the visual does plenty of work without them: one launch, one landing and absolutely no visible committee meeting beforehand.

What looks completely unreasonable from a human point of view is much closer to standard equipment for animals built for life on steep rock. The U.S. National Park Service notes that mountain goats use split hooves that can spread for stability, along with flexible, soft inner pads that grip rocky ledges. Their muscular forequarters also help them negotiate slopes of 60 degrees or more.

In other words, this isn’t just blind faith with hooves. It’s anatomy, balance and a lifetime spent moving through terrain where hesitation probably isn’t especially useful. Those same cliffs can also work as protection, putting animals in places many predators are far less equipped to follow.

And there sits today’s little Tuesday reminder: sometimes the dramatic part lasts one second. The preparation happened long before anybody started counting.
