Golden Gal Rihanna Makes Paris Fashion Week Her Personal Runway

Monday Moodboard Tack: Golden gal Rihanna landed at Paris Fashion Week, attending the Matières Fécales Spring 2027 show and naturally turning the arrival into its own fashion moment.

For the occasion, RiRi stepped out in a shimmering, bronzed two-piece skirt suit from the label, worn with a sheer black bra top and curved-heel Christian Louboutin pumps. The look moved, sparkled and did exactly what a Rihanna Fashion Week entrance is supposed to do: make you look twice.

Matières Fécales Takes “The 99%” to Place de la République

The show itself had plenty to say beyond the front row. Designers Hannah Rose Dalton and Steven Raj Bhaskaran staged the collection beneath the Monument à la République, flipping the idea behind their previous “1%” collection into one focused on representation, access and visibility.

All 99 models were people of color, while the clothes pulled couture technique into a broader global conversation — from Varanasi sari textiles reshaped into dramatic volumes to handwoven cotton from Burkina Faso worked into corseted eveningwear. It was Matières Fécales doing what the label does best: theatrical, confrontational and impossible to mistake for anybody else.

Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2027 officially opened on September 28, and Rihanna wasted absolutely no time reminding everybody why her arrival is practically a fashion event of its own.

Between the label’s “99%” message and Rihanna arriving in full metallic motion, this was one very loud opening-night reminder that Paris Fashion Week is officially on.
