Comedy legend and INYIM friend, lover and follower Rosie O’Donnell returns to RTÉ One’s The Late Late Show with plenty to catch up on — from her recent run guest-hosting Jimmy Kimmel Live! to another Broadway homecoming.
O’Donnell joins host Patrick Kielty as she continues putting down roots in Ireland while simultaneously finding herself very much back in the American entertainment mix. RTÉ previewed the conversation around her return to U.S. television, life in Ireland and the next stage move already waiting for her in New York.

From Jimmy Kimmel Live! Back to The Late Late Show
Her stop in Dublin follows a four-night guest-hosting stretch on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in August 2026, a return to American network late night that put Rosie back behind a desk and in front of a studio audience. For anyone who remembers when The Rosie O’Donnell Show made daytime television feel loose, musical and happily unpredictable, seeing her work a talk-show stage again felt less like a reinvention than somebody switching the lights back on.
RTÉ also said O’Donnell would discuss the reaction to President Donald Trump’s visit to Ireland, alongside the more personal changes that have come with making Ireland home.

Then comes Broadway. O’Donnell will step into the role of the Narrator in The Rocky Horror Show at Studio 54 for a two-week limited run from October 6 through October 18, 2026, filling in while Rachel Dratch takes a short leave from the production.
It is another chapter in a Broadway relationship that goes back decades. Rosie’s stage credits include Grease, Seussical and Fiddler on the Roof, while her 2026 one-woman show Common Knowledge brought her back to the New York stage earlier this summer after runs in Ireland and abroad.
