This Is the Next Chapter After Rabbit
Ms. American Dream, due September 29, 2026, follows Ms. Pat’s acclaimed first memoir, Rabbit: The Autobiography of Ms. Pat. Where Rabbit chronicled the brutal realities of her early life, the new book picks up the story of what happened after she started clawing her way toward something bigger.
The title says plenty on its own. Ms. Pat’s version of the American Dream was never the tidy house-with-a-picket-fence fantasy sold in commercials. Her road ran through poverty, teenage motherhood, Section 8 housing, open mics, comedy clubs and eventually television — with every turn arriving the hard way.
The Conversation Goes Way Beyond the Book
Episode #450 does not stay tucked neatly inside a standard author interview.
