“I loved working on this private, landscaped estate, where nature and the human-made meet so clearly.”
The result was two sculptural works. “Watering the Water” was a fountain made with discarded plastic watering cans. It was a playful and slightly absurdist work, since the pond does not in fact need watering; but it could also be viewed in relation to the mass-production of plastic products that, just like all new consumer goods with a short lifespan, simultaneously constitute part of the problem of the ever-growing climate crisis (fossil raw materials, the growing amount of plastic waste, water shortages, floods, etc.).
