Today’s Saturday Caturday is brought to you by Wilbur the cat, a Heamoor tabby who returned home looking like she had just been booked for a limited-edition Avatar reboot, baby-blue glam squad and all.

Mother nature had nothing to do with this one. Thee feline plot twist came after Wilbur apparently involved herself in a little blue neighborhood mischief, crashed the aftermath of a nearby gender reveal party, and rolled around in leftover blue cornstarch like the lawn was her personal Saturday runway.

Her family first feared something cruel had happened when Wilbur appeared at home covered in blue. But after owner Sophie Jenkin posted in the local Heamoor Facebook group, the mystery got a much funnier answer: a neighbor had hosted a gender reveal with footballs filled with blue cornstarch, and Wilbur, being a cat with taste for chaos, found the leftovers.

The best part? Wilbur is actually a girl, despite the name, which makes the whole “it’s a boy” blue reveal even more Saturday Caturday-coded. Thee tabby bred feline said gender reveal? Cute. Let me make it about me.

Jenkin washed Wilbur after worrying the dye could be toxic, and animal-welfare guidance in the reports backed that instinct: identify the substance, stop the pet from licking it, wash it off when safe, and call a vet if there is any concern. In Wilbur’s case, the blue came from food-dyed cornstarch and she was reported to be fine — just slightly tinted, lightly dramatic, and now internet-famous.

So yes, this week’s Saturday Caturday belongs to Wilbur: the blue tabby queen of Heamoor, Penzance, who wandered into somebody else’s baby announcement and came home as thee main event. True blue history, darling.
