Young Hollywood actor Gordon Cormier looked sharp, debonair and fully in his leading-man glow at the official premiere event for Netflix’s Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2.

The red carpet shindig landed right in our neck of the woods at the Autry Museum of the American West in Los Angeles, where the live-action Avatar team gathered ahead of the new season’s global Netflix launch.

Cormier, who leads the series as Aang, was joined by castmates and familiar faces from the live-action adaptation as Netflix celebrated the new season’s arrival. The premiere/fan event setting also made sense: big outdoor L.A. energy, themed bites, photo moments and a series built on elemental spectacle.

Season 2 pushes Aang and the crew deeper into the next leg of the story, with the live-action series moving toward the Earth Kingdom, Ba Sing Se and the search for an earthbending teacher. Translation: the stakes are bigger, the world is wider and the fandom is very much seated.

But on the carpet, the moment belonged to the cast stepping into this new chapter together. Cormier’s look had the easy charm of a young star who knows the role is getting bigger around him, while the event itself turned the Season 2 rollout into a proper Los Angeles celebration.
