The one and only Judith Light takes a trip down memory lane, endearingly revisiting the legendary career moments that have kept her illuminating our screens for decades.

For the latest installment of Entertainment Tonight’s rETrospective, Light sits down with the ET vault and reacts to rare interviews, old footage and the many transformations that carried her from daytime-drama powerhouse to sitcom royalty, Broadway champion and prestige-television favorite.

There are laughs, surprises and more than a few emotional moments as Judith watches earlier versions of herself describe a career that was still unfolding.

The memories begin with One Life to Live, where Light’s fearless portrayal of Karen Wolek and one unforgettable courtroom confession earned her two consecutive Daytime Emmy Awards.

She then became 1980s sitcom royalty as advertising executive and devoted mother Angela Bower on Who’s the Boss?, starring opposite Tony Danza, Katherine Helmond, Alyssa Milano and Danny Pintauro for eight seasons.

The old interviews give Judith a chance to reflect on Angela’s strength, the chemistry that carried the series and the television family whose connection continued long after the cameras stopped rolling.

From there, the retrospective travels through Ugly Betty, where her deliciously complicated Claire Meade brought glamour, scandal, sharp comedy and unexpected heart into the Mode offices.

Light also revisits the roles that introduced her to new generations, including Transparent and her continuing work inside the Ryan Murphy universe.

Her portrayal of Marilyn Miglin in The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story remains one of the most quietly devastating performances in that entire anthology. Judith herself makes clear that Marilyn holds a particularly important place among her Murphy-created characters.

There is also plenty of Broadway history. Light won back-to-back Tony Awards for Other Desert Cities and The Assembled Parties, proving once again that her ability to command a room was never limited to a television frame.

Judith Light has personally been lighting up our world with joy, empathy, glamour and entertainment for as long as we can remember.

What makes the retrospective especially endearing is how fully present she remains while looking backward. She does not treat the early footage as something embarrassing to escape. She watches with affection for the woman she was and gratitude for every person who helped shape the journey.

Light also dishes on her most recent project, The Terror: Devil in Silver, the AMC+ horror limited series starring Dan Stevens, CCH Pounder and Judith as the mysterious longtime New Hyde patient known as Dorry.

The role places her inside a decaying psychiatric institution filled with secretive doctors, frightened residents and something far more sinister moving through the halls.

It is another reminder that Judith has never been interested in staying safely inside one performance lane. Sitcom comedy, daytime drama, horror, Broadway, prestige television—she continues choosing characters capable of revealing an entirely different light.
