A rare, breathtaking moment of ocean teamwork caught off the coast of Dominica.

Today’s whimsy is brought to us by mother nature in a rare, heart‑thumping capture. Canadian scientist Shane Gero grabbed his camera and recorded a super‑duper fine moment when his team witnessed the birth of a sperm whale off the coast of Dominica.

Hours later, the newborn was seen being gently assisted by a group of adult whales — a stunning display of collective care. The pod worked together to hold the baby above water, keeping it afloat until it was strong enough to swim on its own.

Dig out the fantastical, fabulous, obscure video clip — nature really said teamwork.
