The OG vocal prodigious winner revealed during a conversation on her daytime program, The Kelly Clarkson Show, that she never actually received the prize she was promised after winning the very first season of the reality singing competition.

Clarkson made the revelation while chatting about the show’s early days and what the supposed winnings were meant to be.

With her signature sarcasm, Clarkson joked about the situation.

“So you’re, is it $220,800 richer now?”
