Paris Hilton It Has Been Currently Raining in Our Neck of the Woods

Paris Hilton’s iconic 2005 improvised weather report from The Simple Life returns for “Wednesday Whimsy,” complete with her playful forecast, anti‑pollution message, and a nostalgic Sunset 5 memory.

Oh hello, Wednesday Whimsy. Let’s take a little stroll back to the mid‑2000s — a time when velour reigned, Sidekicks snapped, and Paris Hilton nearly solved global warming. Well… not really. But she did deliver one of the most iconic improvised weather reports ever aired on reality TV.

Back in 2005, during Season 3 of her hit show The Simple Life, Paris grabbed the mic and confidently declared the forecast as “mostly cloudy with mild south winds of 5–10 mph,” sprinkling in a gentle PSA against pollution. She then encouraged everyone to move to Los Angeles because the weather was “hot,” and described snow as “little snowflakes dancing.” Meteorology, but make it Y2K‑glam.

And honestly? We agree with Miss Hilton. It was raining in our neck of the woods just last week, so clearly we share the same taste — meteorologically and otherwise.

Speaking of the Y2K decade, here’s a little INYIM lore: the year was 2006, and we were watching Napoleon Dynamite at the famed Sunset 5. The theater was completely empty. It was literally just Paris and us. You had to be there.
