
Sabrina Carpenter, J Balvin, Alex Warren & Sombr Set to Light Up the 2025 MTV VMAs Stage. The first wave of performers for the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards has been announced, and it’s already sizzling: Sabrina Carpenter, J Balvin, Alex Warren, and Sombr are confirmed to take the stage.
Two music legends will also be honored during the ceremony. Busta Rhymes will receive the inaugural Rock the Bells Visionary Award, recognizing his boundary-breaking cultural impact and decades-long musical career. Ricky Martin will be honored with the Latin Icon Award, celebrating his four-decade legacy that MTV says “launched Latin music and culture into the mainstream.” Both icons are set to perform.
Miss Carpenter leads the pack with eight nominations, including the coveted Video of the Year for her hit single “Manchild.”

LL Cool J is set to host the star-studded event, taking place at New York’s UBS Arena on Sunday, September 7 at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT. For the first time, the ceremony will air live coast-to-coast on CBS, as well as on MTV and Paramount+ in the U.S.
