Dig Out 024 NAACP Image Award Nominations W/ Ayo Edebiri, Colman Domingo & More Leading. (Airing March 16.) 

"The 2024 NAACP Image Award nominations are here. Usher, Victoria Monét, Colman Domingo, and Ayo Edebiri are leading the pack of nominees in music, film, and television, respectively.

Usher and Victoria earned five and six nods each in the music categories as Colman leads the motion picture categories with three nominations. Ayo sweeps the television and streaming categories with two nods for Abbott Elementary and The Bear.

“We are thrilled to celebrate the achievements of this year’s nominees, whose outstanding contributions across film, television and streaming, music, literature, podcasts, and more have inspired us all,” said Derrick Johnson, President and CEO of the NAACP. “The NAACP Image Awards stand as a tribute to their creativity, talent, and dedication to authentic storytelling and are a testament to the richness and diversity of our community.”

Scott Mills, President and CEO, BET Media Group, added, “As we reflect on the rich legacy of the NAACP, we take pride in honoring the artistic brilliance of this year’s nominees. We are excited to illuminate and celebrate the extraordinary talent within our community.” 

The 55th annual NAACP Image Awards’ live two-hour telecast airs on Saturday, March 16 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on BET and CBS. Non–televised Image Awards categories will be stream via their official website from March 11–14.
