Bad Bunny's stellar saucy sophomore LP was just unleashed this past weekend.
Its been two years since his 2018 debut X 100. Bad Bunny has since gone on to planet dominance. Including a now, forever timeless iconic Superbowl Halftime Show with Shakira & JLo.
Now with his second album under his belt. ‘YHLQMDLG’ gives us all the thrills and chills needed for an artist at Bunny's level. Per usual. We've chosen our preferred tracks from the record featured down below!
However, a very special treat was delivered today. One of our chosen tunes was actually unveiled just today as Bunny's brand new spankin' single.
Complete with a musique video in tow. It's a whole lotta bossa nova/trap flavors with the single and album opener entitled “Si Veo a Tu Mamá”. It's a video game sonic, sounding like a newer version of the “Girl From Ipanema”. Bad Bunny sheds heartbreak as he deals with a breakup.
His conclusion goal is to part on good terms. Just as thee chorus lyrics imply: “And if I see your mom/I’ll ask for you/To see if you already have someone/Someone who makes you happy.”
However, it is our most preferred track starring Reggaeton all-stars Ñengo Flow and Jowell y Randy. Both artists provide their verses on thee ultimate highlighter album song “Safaera”. An ancient yet always enduring theme of paying ode to those who authentically let it go in the club.
“Safaera” has multiple layers that are reminiscent of some kind of 1990s party mega-mix. It's a 4-minute, 55-second party affair. You get multiple little drips and sprinkles of Timbaland's and Missy Elliott’s “Get Your Freak On.”
Along with the film's Jaws sample the throwback 2005 song “El Tiburón” by Alexis y Fido. Bad Bunny side-steps reggaeton with finesse and revitalization.
Like the Puerto Rican city island of Vega Baja. There are many dancehall and reggea vibrations. Attached to Bhangra waves. Which is one of India's most energetic dances. upbeat folk dance like a lightning bolt of futurist sounds.
Without further ado. Get into thee Bad Bunny groove and ItsNotYouItsMe latest hit parade. With ‘YHLQMDLG’ tracks, “Safaera”, “Si Veo a Tu Mamá”, and "Que Malo"!
"La Difícil" - Bad Bunny's other single track off YHLQMDLG.
"Astrud Gilberto and Stan Getz - The Girl From Ipanema (1964)".
