The Grammys have announced a new category for 2026: best album cover. The Recording Academy is highlighting the evolution of album artwork from cardboard sleeves and plastic cases to today’s digital thumbnails.

The Recording Academy is actually debuting two new GRAMMY categories at the 2026 ceremony. Best Traditional Country Album along with the already mentioned Best Album Cover.

That means there are now more chances for deserving creators to be recognized and more Categories for fans to get passionate about.

Whoo-hoo for that!
