Comedian masters Wendi McLendon-Covey and David Alan Grier spilled on their hit NBC comedy series “St. Denis Medical” while visiting The Kelly Clarkson Show.
The duo praised essential workers for the day-to-day grind they accomplish—keeping the show’s heartbeat grounded in real-life heroes. All the while, they swapped stories about their wild run-ins with wildlife, including squirrels, raccoons, and even peacocks.
“St. Denis Medical” premiered on NBC in fall 2025, created by Justin Spitzer (Superstore) and Eric Ledgin (American Auto). The workplace comedy leans into absurd hospital hijinks while spotlighting the humanity behind the scrubs. (Think sharp ensemble timing with a wink toward classic sitcom chaos.)
McLendon-Covey, best known from Bridesmaids and The Goldbergs, and Grier, a Tony-winning veteran of In Living Color, bring seasoned comedic chops to the ensemble. The series has already been renewed for a second season, with new episodes streaming next day on Peacock.
