It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Eddie “Supa” Lewis, a beloved member of the house music community and one of the original voices behind Aly-Us.
Eddie passed away on June 10, 2025, at the age of 55. While the cause of his death has not been publicly disclosed, his legacy and the joy he brought to countless fans through his music will never be forgotten.
Eddie’s voice and spirit were immortalized in the iconic track “Follow Me,” a song that continues to inspire and uplift listeners around the world. As a founding member of Aly-Us, alongside DJ Kyle “Small” Smith and vocalist William Brian Jennings, Eddie helped shape the sound of early 90s house music, leaving an indelible mark on the genre. The track “Follow Me” was produced under the renowned house music label Strictly Rhythm Records in 1992.
In the early 2010s, Eddie revived the name Aly-Us and continued to perform, sharing his passion and talent with new generations of fans. His contributions to music and his infectious positivity will be deeply missed.
“Follow Me” is even more relevant today, resonating deeply amidst the ongoing struggles against racial injustice in the United States. The song’s message of unity and hope serves as a powerful reminder of the need for equality and justice for all.
