NEW Halloween Listenables: Hemlocke Springs Unleashes “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Ankles.”
Hemlocke Springs is undeniably a true innovative, experimental-yet-pop ingénue with all the right hooks and beats. A revered artist to watch here at INYIM Media for many years now—since her debut.
A through-and-through musician, she has finally announced her debut album entitled The Apple Tree Under The Sea, dropping February 13 via AWAL.
The latest lead single, “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Ankles,” hasn’t officially been themed as a Halloween tune—but in our headquarters, it’s already a constant one. Just listen to the sonics and melodies: it’s got all the moody, bassy, spooky bells and whistles to soundtrack your Autumn All Hallow’s week.
The entire album project follows Miss Springs as she breaks free from her fam bam’s obnoxious and brainwashing religious upbringing to explore who she really is. Her debut confronts traumatic memories and charts a path toward self-acceptance.
“It’s about me being in this bubble, and realizing that being in that bubble was tougher than I thought, and then finally getting out and exploring who I really am,” she shared in a public statement.
