Master Writer, Stephen King Says He Played 1999’s Smash ‘Mambo No. 5’ So Much That His Wife Almost Got A Divorce?!
“Stephen King told Rolling Stone that his wife “threatened to divorce” him if he didn’t stop playing Lou Bega’s 1999 one-hit wonder “Mambo No. 5.”
When asked if rumors about his love for the classic song were true, he responded: “big time,” before going into detail.
“My wife threatened to divorce me. I played that a lot,” he said, adding, “I had the dance mix. I loved those extended play things and I played both sides of it. And one of them was just total instrumental.”
“And I played that thing until my wife just said, ‘One more time, and I’m going to f—— leave you,’” he revealed.
