Thee one and only Queen of Hip-Hop Soul, Mary J. Blige, had a recent hometown NYC gig—and now it’s headed to the big screen as her first-ever concert film.
This milestone arrives 33 years into Miss Mary’s career, and she’s appropriately entitled the project: “For My Fans, Live From Madison Square Garden.”
Filmed this past April during a sold-out show at the legendary MSG, the concert captured Blige’s first time headlining the iconic venue. The film is set to hit theaters for two exclusive nights—November 5th and 8th.
Mary J. shared in a press release:
“Being able to share this moment globally with my fans, who can experience this together in a movie theater, is more special than I can put into words.”
“This tour was always for my fans, and being able to make this into a movie for them means the world.”
The concert film features timeless hits like “Family Affair,” “No More Drama,” and “Be Without You,” alongside tracks from her latest album, Gratitude. Expect behind-the-scenes footage, intimate storytelling, and surprise guest appearances from artists like Jadakiss, Fabolous, Ne-Yo, and A Boogie Wit da Hoodie.
