Pop Queen royalty Kylie Minogue spills her brand sparkling new Christmas tune she’s been holding onto for a decade.
Entitled “XMAS,” the track dates back to the summer of 2015 and was originally inspired by the Village People’s “YMCA.”
The track serves as part of the 10th anniversary edition of Minogue’s holiday album, Kylie Christmas. Out December 5 as Kylie Christmas (Fully Wrapped), the reissue features four brand-new numbers.

Chit chatting via The Sun, Miss Minogue dished that the idea first came to her while she was in Berlin shortly after releasing her first holiday album that same year.
“The song comes from 2015. I was at Soho House in Berlin, it was summer on the terrace and we’d just done the first Christmas album,” Kylie continued. “We’d had a couple of glasses of wine … and it came to us like ‘YMCA’ but ‘XMAS.’ I’ve been sitting on the chorus for 10 years.”

The single lands Dec. 5, followed by a Sophie Muller–directed video—where Kylie recreates the iconic Dirty Dancing flying lift—dropping Dec. 12, 2025!
