New Direc­tion–Trimapee design­ers Mario-​​Luca Car­lucci and Peter Strateas are clos­ing one chap­ter and begin­ning another. Show­ing in Paris, the design team intro­duces their new label Strateas. Car­lucci. Tak­ing pride in using native Aus­tralian fab­ri­ca­tions such as kan­ga­roo hide and merino wool, the duo open the new sea­son with a col­lec­tion that smoothly takes the form of a sec­ond skin. Cut with a mod­ern zeal, the range boasts a sharp exe­cu­tion of menswear with draped jack­ets, loose trousers with paper bag waists and other irre­sistible gar­ments that will make get­ting to know the new label an easy task.
