Ilia Malinin’s 228.97 free skate at Skate Canada breaks his own 2024 world record of 227.79, setting a new high in men’s figure skating history.

Ilia Malinin is breaking dishes along with record after record.

He has now secured the highest free skate score ever with a 228.97 at Skate Canada, surpassing his previous world record of 227.79, set at the 2024 World Championships in Montreal.

He’s such a baddie bad arse that he shattered his own milestone, further cementing his reign as the “Quad God” of figure skating.
