Barack Hussein Obama II. Born August 4, 1961. A native of Honolulu, Hawaii, Obama is a graduate of Columbia University and Harvard Law School and is the 44th and current President of the United States. He is the first African American to hold the office. Obama previously served as a United States Senator from Illinois, from January 2005 until he resigned after his election to the presidency in November 2008. Say what you will, he’s still our President and thee only President at the moment.
